Selfless Service
Seva is Karma Yoga, evoking Padasevam Bhakti and is seen throughout the world by many Saints, past and present, as an essential cornerstone to spiritual growth. During seva one learns to give off oneself selflessly without thinking about it, allowing your love to flow from your heart, dedicating each and every action as a spiritual offering to the Divine, without expecting anything in return.
Across the globe and in Sri Swami Vishwananda’s headquarters, Shree Peetha Nilaya, seva is encouraged firstly as a way of giving of yourself from the heart unconditionally and secondly, helping others and communities that need assistance in whatever way one can, great or small. All devotees across the globe are encouraged to undertake seva initiatives. When one truly gives unconditionally by serving humanity this purifies the heart and mind and helps one to become more humble, realizing the divine love in everything and in everybody. “Millions of hungry, deprived, exploited and helpless are suffering from illness, without education, culture and sanksar. People are our mentors. We are fortunate to have a golden opportunity to serve them.” We have various Seva projects around the country and are always looking for volunteers to come forward and help out.

Spiritual Retreats
As Swami Vishwananda teaches us, the end result of a Yogic Path leads us to a union with our true self – a union between our hearts and our minds; and also a union with a spiritual family. It’s through swami’s grace that devotees are brought together to share and grow together, on the spiritual path, as a result Bhakti Marga SA have a number of spiritual retreats throughout the year. The spiritual relation of souls united in seeking God is stronger and more binding than any other relation. These retreats involve spiritual discourses, wellness programs and meditative practices.

Bhakti Marga Art
Bhakti Marga Art was formed through the teachings of Paramahamsa Vishwananda. With Swamiji’s blessing it has become a form of sadhana (spiritual practice) that allows us to express our devotion to the Divine through art. Currently Bhakti Marga South Africa offers Sri Yantra Painting Meditation. A Sri Yantra has a profound effect upon the person who draws, paints, or studies one. It is based on nine layers and each level has its own structure and secret wisdom hidden. Sri Yantra gives us a path to the Divine within. The base of this 3 Hours Workshop is a simple, yet powerful Affirmation Meditation to tune into the nine steps of the Sri Yantra. Using these affirmations helps to focus your attention and open portals to the hidden knowledge found within this ancient wisdom tool.

Satsang
Satsang is an important aspect of spiritual practice in a seeker’s spiritual journey. When we attend satsang, we are exposed to higher levels of spiritual positivity. The environment is charged with Divine Consciousness with praise, chanting and worship of the Divine’s name.
By attending Satsang regularly, we become stronger in our spiritual practice. As a result, we also become stronger in our conviction that we should realize God which is the main spiritual purpose of life. Satsangs become a platform to nurture and develop such kind of positive relationships and is a Seva to the community. The spiritual relation of souls united in seeking the Divine is stronger and more binding than any other relation. Bhakti Marga SA invites one and all to share Satsang with fellow spiritual seekers.
